Baddi University of Emerging Sciences & Technologies, commonly known as the BUEST, is located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. A group of like-minded people came together in 2000 and formed a society to promote quality education in technical subjects. This society was known as the Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering or simply the CASE. Within a few years, it incorporated the Institute of Engineering and Emerging Technology in 2002 and was later recognised as a university in the year 2009.
